In the dark ages of dentistry’s past, and in many dental offices still today, having a tooth restored was no easy feat. It would require multiple trips to the dentist and wearing a temporary while your impressions were sent to a lab to have your restoration created. At Stoneridge Dental, we want to make things easier for you. That’s why we’ve invested in a high-tech CEREC® milling machine that allows us to digitally design, create, and place restorations like inlays and onlays, crowns, and veneers in a single appointment!
At Stoneridge Dental, our goal is always to keep your natural teeth healthy and intact for as long as possible, hopefully for a lifetime. However, we’re human and things happen. If you have a tooth that’s been broken or damaged by decay that’s too extensive to repair with a simple filling, but may not be extensive enough to require a full crown, we have an intermediate solution with inlays and onlays. With CEREC® same day technology, we can often complete inlays and onlays in a single appointment!
Crowns are tooth-shaped caps used to repair a damaged tooth and replace the healthy tooth structure that’s been lost. Whether you broke a tooth or have extensive tooth decay, a crown may be the best option to repair your smile. Some preparation of the natural tooth is required to make room for the crown to ensure the best fit and function. At Stoneridge Dental, we provide our patients with durable, natural-looking crowns that look, feel and function just like natural teeth. And we can often complete the whole process in a single appointment with CEREC® same day technology.
If you’re missing one or more teeth, you probably know it’s in your best interest to have them replaced. Left unreplaced, missing teeth can cause serious issues, including trouble eating and speaking properly, a loss of confidence, and many problems for your oral health. Surrounding teeth begin to shift and rotate to fill the gap which can cause problems for your alignment and bite.
Bridges can help prevent these complications by filling the gap with one or more fabricated teeth, securely anchored with crowns on either side. If you are missing a single tooth and are a candidate for a dental implant, we highly recommend an implant with a full crown on top instead of a bridge. A dental implant can prevent the need for a bridge and the removal of healthy tooth structure to place it. If you are not a candidate for a dental implant, a bridge is a more affordable alternative. If you’re missing several teeth and are a candidate for dental implants, we can secure your bridge with implants for the most life-like solution.
If you’re missing most or all your natural teeth or living with traditional dentures that don’t fit well, we would love to help improve your smile, your confidence, and your quality of life with our modern denture options. If you are a candidate for dental implants, we highly suggest implant supported dentures for the most secure, most life-like solution. Custom made from durable ceramics and acrylic to look, feel and function just like natural teeth, these aren’t your grandma’s dentures. You might even forget you weren’t born with them.
