Teledentistry

Dr. Saydyk with a patient

The future is now

StoneRidge Dental is always striving to find new ways to evolve along with technology and clinical advancement and provide safe, quality dental treatment you can trust. The COVID-19 situation has inspired Dr. Saydyk to implement teledentistry to provide necessary emergency care for our patients in these challenging times.

Teledentistry will allow our team to use current communication technologies to assess your dental emergency and determine your best solution remotely for your convenience and safety.

Ready to step into the future?

Teledentistry will be a useful tool to provide more complete patient care long after the world has gotten a handle on COVID-19. Sometimes it’s hard to know if you are experiencing a true dental emergency (pain, swelling, and a broken or knocked-out tooth are all examples of emergencies). Maybe you don’t have childcare or transportation immediately available. There are many reasons teledentistry can make taking care of your oral health easier and more convenient.

Studies have shown that teledentistry:

  1. Can improve patient dental hygiene: by connecting providers with patients directly when in-office appointments might otherwise be skipped, ignored, or postponed.
  2. Can make dental care more affordable: by requiring fewer in-person appointments, less staff scheduling, and reduced travel time.
  3. Can take a page from mainstream healthcare’s book: by following the medical field’s lead, the dentistry can benefit from the convenience of telehealth, from billing to diagnosis.
  4. Can make dentistry more convenient for patients: by allowing them to schedule, check chart notes, pay their bills, email, text, and now meet with their doctors via their phones.
  5. Can improve access to care for underserved patients: by serving people in rural areas who may not otherwise have access to dental services.
  6. Can reduce time taken off work for appointments: by allowing professionals to cut down on missed work hours to see the dentist.
