Air Abrasion

Air abrasion technology works like a tiny sandblaster for your teeth. Rather than scraping the teeth with metal tools, air abrasion uses a fine (but powerful) stream of air and particles to remove tooth decay and prepare teeth for restorations. Air abrasion is a more conservative approach that targets decay and leaves healthy tooth structure intact. Our patients with dental anxiety love our abrasion technology that takes the scary tools out of the equation.

CariFreeIn a perfect world, brushing and flossing and regular visits to your dentist would be enough to keep tooth decay at bay. Unfortunately, it’s not a perfect world, and many patients need a little extra help getting tooth decay under control. CariFree® offers a full line of products designed to balance the pH of your mouth and help eliminate the bacteria that causes decay (dental caries) for a healthier, “carifree” smile.

Digital X-rays

Digital x-rays have been a major advancement in modern dentistry and medicine. Digital x-rays use less radiation than traditional x-rays, so they’re safer for patients and staff. They are also more convenient, as they can be taken in a matter of moments right from the dental chair. Rather than waiting for the film to develop, we are able to see your x-rays right then and there on the screen. Digital x-rays provide a better understanding of your oral health with less chance for error, and an easier experience at the dentist.

Intraoral Camera

Before intraoral cameras, the only way we could get a good look at the inside of your mouth was through the magic of sight with the help of a tiny dental mirror. And we all know our eyes can play tricks on us sometimes. Intraoral cameras give us a whole new level of insight and assurance in diagnosing oral health problems and catching them early on before they progress. Intraoral cameras let you see what we see to give you a better understanding of your oral health and treatment needs.

CBCT Machine

This is our Cone Beam Computed Tomography machine, abbreviated as CBCT (thankfully, what a mouthful!). Our patients love it as much as we do because scanning is non-invasive, painless, and eliminates the need for messy impressions. In as little as 15 seconds, the CBCT scan can provide us with a panoramic view of your head, neck and jaw. The high resolution 3-D images make diagnosis and treatment planning more precise, which makes for more successful, satisfactory results.

CEREC® Same Day Milling Machine

CERECTraditionally, having a tooth restored is a bit of a process. In many dental offices still today, you would need multiple appointments, a temporary restoration, and your impressions would be sent to a lab to be created. CEREC® shrinks the entire dental lab down into a single piece of chairside technology. With CEREC®, we can digitally design (without the goopy impressions), create, and place restorations like inlays, onlays, crowns and veneers in a single visit!

Vibraject® Painless Injections

Many times, the injection is the worst part of any dental treatment, but not at Stoneridge Dental! We know many patients suffer from fear and anxiety that keeps them away from the dentist, that’s why we do everything we can to make your visits as comfortable and painless as possible. Vibraject® painless injection technology uses a high-frequency vibration to block the nerve signals to the brain, so you won’t even feel the injection.

You’re probably expecting us to say we love our dental laser, and guess what? We do! Biolase helps us eliminate the bacteria that cause gum disease, prepare teeth for fillings without the need for the dental drill, remove excess gum tissue without the need for scalpels and sutures, and even remove stains that reveal a bright, white smile in one visit! Lasers are precision instruments that work quickly, and because they’re gentle, anesthetic is rarely necessary.

Added Safety Measures

At Stone Ridge Dental, our patients’ health and safety are our top priorities. As leaders in the community, we are raising the standard of care with increased hygiene and sanitation measures. Combining these prevention methods helps prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses.

Aerosol Reduction

Aerosol produced from dental instruments can create indoor air quality concerns possibly leading to respiratory infections and disease transmission. As a way to protect our patients as well as our team, our practice uses dental aerosol extractors that minimize the risk of spreading these pathogens.

HEPA Filtration

As a way to improve the air quality at Stone Ridge Dental, we use medical-grade HEPA filtration systems that remove dust, pollen, smoke, germs, pet dander, and other pollutants from our air. Not only does remove potentially harmful contaminants, it also keeps our practice smelling fresh at all times.
